Ground Zero, 2001.

This story comes from a series I wrote years back for an earlier iteration of this website. I did ‘A to Z, around the World’, 26 stories and anecdotes from my career of photography assignments and travels. The series was nicely popular with my readers back then. And for this week, for the 25th anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks in Manhattan, New York, I post this series of images, and this back story of how they came to be.
