On 31st July I’ll be collaborating with WEX Photo (Glasgow store), during one of their in-store event days, where I’ll be hosting twelve 15-minute portfolio reviews.
A Window On Glasgow
I’m delighted this exhibition will be seen again, and nicely includes four of my black and white images, two being from Kvaerner shipyard in Govan, Glasgow, in the early 1990’s, and a further two being of Nelson Mandela in Glasgow in October 1993.

Glasgow Zine Festival, 5th & 6th July
Just to let you know that we’ll have a table at the Glasgow Zine Festival 2025. The festival is at the Tramway Theatre, in the southside of Glasgow, on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th July.
We’ll have approximately 10 -12 different zines on sale, all with black and white documentary photography of Scotland.
‘Resistance’ exhibition
I’m delighted that three of my photographs feature in the latest exhibition, Resistance, curated by artist Steve McQueen, at the National Galleries of Scotland.

Few months back now I had the pleasure of photographing Sir Kenny Dalglish, former Scotland, Celtic FC and Liverpool FC footballing legend par excellence, and his son Paul, also former footballer and now football agent. It was one of those photography assignments that makes you feel lucky to do this job…

Back in 2000, when magazines still commissioned nice reportage documentary photography pieces, I was called by a picture editor I regularly worked for and asked the lovely question, “Can you go to Rome?”.

Portraits from a recent assignment here in Glasgow, down by the River Clyde, to photograph Willey Maley, Tam Watters, and Jennie Renton, who have come together to write the story of their fathers who went to fight fascism in Franco’s Spain, ‘Our Fathers Fought Franco’.

Demolition on the Wyndford Estate
Yesterday I headed up to the north west side of Glasgow, to the Maryhill area, to watch as three tower blocks on the Wyndford Estate were brought down, demolished, in a controlled explosion. Always a fascinating event to witness, but also one with much poignancy.
